Banks marks the begining of the farm land surrounding Southport to its northern end.
Banks, Hesketh Bank and Tarelton are a major part of England’s “salad-bowl”, growing a considerable amount of the salad crops that appear on supermarket shelves.
Southport New Road, at the end of the Tarelton dual carriage-way, is also home to multiple garden nurseries amd garden centres.
