A black pall of smoke was cast across the town centre tonight, as Pleasureland was dealt another blow.

Vandalism or faulty wiring it is thought caused the Hall of Mirrors and the Haunted Train River Caves Ride, set at the beach end of the Pleasureland site, to go up in flames.

Dozens of curious onlookers watched as two fire tenders dealt with the fire.
